“Always arrived when they said they would. Finished work on committed schedule. Great advice proactively given. Kept house and premises meticulously clean during renovation. Very responsive to questions and issues. Craftsmanship was excellent. Could not have asked for more. Went beyond what we could have hoped for. Highly recommended.”

“I had a really enjoyable experience with DMV Kitchen and Bath. I renovated my kitchen and added new appliances, new cabinets, and new floors. It came out so great. I had several design choices and DMV really helped me to narrow down my options and come up with a design I really, really liked. The kitchen looks wonderful and I couldn’t be more pleased! Thanks again, guys.”

“I was so nervous about doing my first renovation. If I would have known how easy this was, I would have done it years ago! DMV Kitchen and Bath made everything so easy, fun, and the outcome of our kitchen is above and beyond our imagination. They did a great job staying within the parameters and guidelines since we live in the historic district in DC. They were on top of it all! Thanks again and we will be sure to pass your name off to all of our friends looking to do any type of reno! Thanks :-)”

“I had a great experience with Javier and the team at DMV Kitchen and Bath. I spent a lot of time looking for companies online and DMV caught my eye. We took out a loan in order to renovate our 20 year old home and it was the best decision we could have made. I am in love with my new kitchen and my new master bath!! Our kitchen looks like we live on beach front property which is exactly what we were going for. I couldn’t be happier with the design, the outcome, the price, and the overall quality of the job. Thanks again guys, I love it!!!!”

“We hired DMV to completely remodel our basement bathroom and they did a super job! I couldn’t be more pleased with it. Javier and his team were very nice to deal with and answered all of our questions and concerns. The tile work looks great and the workers were familiar with Duravit and Grohe, so there were no installation issues. I highly recommend DMV!”

“From start to finish, DMV provided fabulous service and value. Project Manager Javier Nogales was terrific in every way. He had great ideas for maximizing the space and helped guide us through the showroom process efficiently. The construction process was very well organized and finished in the estimated time. The crew on site was professional, accommodating and helpful. Javier was always responsive and quickly addressed any question or minor concern that we had. We are thrilled with our beautiful new bathroom and we highly recommend DMV for a hassle-free renovation experience!”
Description of work: We gutted and refinished a small full bathroom in an older house, including reconfiguring the bathroom to open onto the hall instead of the bedrooms.
Alicia Clarke Gaithersburg, MD 20877
“The remodel went exceptionally well, from beginning to end! Javier, the project manager, was very professional and organized. He walked me through the selection (and re-selection) of the materials and was available to answer questions and troubleshoot as the remodel began. He ensured the work went according to schedule (which it actually did!) and was just a phone call or text away. The remodel took about 2 weeks. Grover was the lead contractor doing the day-to-day work. He was fantastic! He arrived on time everyday and often stayed longer to finish up everything. He was very thorough–taking out and replacing the old, corroded pipes, meticulously installing the subway tile and glass accent tile, etc. He and his colleague even helped install a tv wall mount and mirror at the very end of the project. I highly recommend DMV Kitchen and Bath. The job was done on time and budget and I couldn’t be happier.”
Description of work: I had my primary bathroom remodeled. The work included a new tub, dry wall (walls and ceiling), installation of an exhaust fan, tile work, and paint.

“It went very well! We visited the Chantilly showroom to look at their materials and met Cemmy Kurt (who would be our designer) and Allan. There was no pressure to buy anything, and they were happy to answer questions. We set up an appointment for an estimate and were very pleased with both the price and the materials. We chose to do the demolition ourselves, which allowed us to make changes to the design as necessary. Cemmy was exceptional at communicating with us, incorporating necessary changes and choosing the materials. He even found a better deal on upgraded kitchen cabinets, allowing us to have exactly the look and features we wanted. The work started on time and stayed on schedule throughout. Orlando (project manager on site) and his team were very good at the installation and very accommodating with inevitable changes. Work took almost 4 weeks, but the finished product looks wonderful! We could not be more pleased with everything and would definitely recommend DMV Kitchen & Bath and will use them again.”

“If you need someone you can trust – in your home and around your family – then this is the company, and these are the men, you can rely on. We contracted with DMV, this is our second time, to finish our powder room, dining room, living room and install hardwood floor. Finish, materials and performance of everything is first class! Oscar gave many helpful hints when we talked with him about the design, and made commonsense recommendations to help keep the project within our budget. While they spent whatever time was necessary before the job to spec it all out to our approval, when customer decisions were needed in the midst of the job they did not push us to do what would be easiest for them – rather, they would explain the options involved in a way that was clear and that eased the decision-making process for us. Their crews showed up when they promised, with the skilled workers, tools and materials necessary to do a great job. Now, we are so proud of the rooms they created for us – we recommend them in the highest degree! They do what they say they are going to do, and they do it with courtesy and class! This was the best experience I’ve had with a vendor on Angie’s List. FIRST CLASS JOB, AGAIN !!!”

“We love our renovation, and the DMV team was great. About the team – Cemmy, our design specialist and main point of contact, spent a lot of time with us to get the design and finishes right. He was always extremely responsive throughout the project and has remained so even now that everything is done. Javier, our project manager, was enjoyable to work with and helpful in discussing the technical aspects of the renovation. He gave us confidence that the job would go well. The rest of their team was extremely hardworking and polite and left a clean job site. They did very good work and went the extra mile by fixing issues outside of the scope of our contract for free. I also appreciated that they brought in a structural engineer to weigh in on our removal of a supporting wall and performed additional work to help bring our basement up to code. I highly recommend this team.”

“I am bit of a perfectionist, so the fact that I?m so pleased with the work of DMV means a lot. They were professional, helpful, clean, creative and efficient and the bathroom looks fabulous. The products are higher grade (Kohler). Even when we struggled with decisions, Oscar was there to nudge us in the right direction. If, during the process, I noticed something I forgot or did not like, the crew would contact Oscar and he would call within the hour. A couple of times, they changed the item on the spot. The same guys would show up around 8:00 in the morning and work until 5 or 6 every night. In less than 3 weeks, our master was ready to show all our friends. I looked at 5 companies and DMV was the best price and I?m so glad I choose them. I loved that it was so easy to pick out our products. I would recommend DMV to anybody and have been doing so every chance I get.”

“We found DMV on Angie’s List but also had 5 other companies out to bid on the project. Ultimately,we picked DMV because of their responsiveness and consistently good reviews. We were not disappointed. The project was completed in November but we developed a running list of small items that we needed addressed for the bathrooms to be “perfect” and contacted DMV again to have them come out and correct them. Javier came out right away to go over the list and set a date. They finished up with the list today and we could not be more pleased. You really would be hard pressed to find a more honest and hardworking company. The crew worked long hours 6 days a week and always cleaned up at the end of the day. Having strangers in your house and dealing with a renovation is never fun but they minimized the disruption and we have only good things to say.about the process. Along the way, they corrected plumbing/drainage and electrical issues they uncovered in the demo and we feel comfortable that they are fixed.”

“I couldn’t be happier with the service provided by DMV kitchen. They were reasonably-priced, reliable, skilled, and pleasant to work with. They helped with the design and were very patient while I explored different options. They listened to me while offering lots of great ideas and the kitchen reflects that – it is exactly what I wanted and I enjoy being in it every single day. I would recommend DMV to anyone considering a kitchen or bath remodel. I found DMV through Angie’s List and now that I’ve worked with them, I understand what all the rave reviews are about. Yes, they are that good.”
Description of work: DMV completely gutted and rebuilt my kitchen, including opening up a wall, adding new wood floors, new cabinets, countertops, etc. They helped with the design and material selection as well.

“If Angie’s List had an A+ rating, we would give it to the folks at DMV Kitchen and Baths.
We’ve remodeled kitchens before, and working with DMV was BY FAR the best experience we could hope for.
We interviewed a number of contractors. There are a lot of sharks out there. But we were immediately impressed by Javier Nogales at DMV. He and his team are real professionals in every sense of the word: trust-worthy, pleasant, respectful, taking great pride in their work and going the extra mile (without our asking for it). Each and every one of the crew members kept our interests at heart. When going through a punch list, they met our every expectation– and graciously. Hassle-free. Attitude-free. The work was done on time and on budget. Javier never flinched to take our calls or answer our texts, promptly and professionally.
We loved working with these guys. The final product is AWESOME.
Do not hesitate to give them a try.”
Description of work: DMV completely gutted the kitchen, removed walls, created large exterior window, moved gas and water lines, reconfigured Heating/Air conditioning vents, rerouted dryer exhaust line, installed all new electric (plus master electrical panel), installed new Travertine tile flooring, new cabinets, appliances, counter tops, lighting, paint, plaster, etc.
Nancy McFalls Falls Church, VA 22046
“From the start, DMV was considerate and easy to work with. We chose only Angie’s List contractors with A ratings, but only DMV had taken the time to read the “wish list” that we had provided. Also, they were the only contractor that included visuals in their proposal — one to help us visualize exactly what we asked for, plus another “aspirational” version that incorporated some comments I had about what I would love do if I was unconstrained. I appreciated that.
We then worked with DMV to tailor the bid to exactly what we needed (and could afford). They were cheerful and cooperative throughout this process. When the construction began, the team communicated with us every day. The guys doing the work were a pleasure to have around. We hit some “old house” snags, and they were very flexible and had creative ideas to resolve the issues. For instance, when it became apparent that the original window frame (which had been buried) was an unusual shape, the crew suggested framing it with an interesting arrangement of tile, cut from the bullnose used for the walls, to accentuate its uniqueness. Also, when the special-sized sink that I ordered (not from the DMV showroom) arrived it was chipped, and the team patiently assessed several replacement sinks that I proposed until we found one that was just right.
Throughout the process, from our initial meeting through the finishing touches, our designer and project manager Alan was wonderful. He kept everything moving and made us feel good about our decision to go with DMV.”
Description of work: Remodeled a full bathroom in our 1940s house. Gutted to the studs, bumped it out slightly and reconfigured the doorway for better flow. Added ventilation and recessed lighting. Installed tile, tub, fixtures, etc. in a style appropriate to our house.

“This was my third project with DMV and it was another great one. Everything went smoothly, on time and on budget. I dealt with what has become my standard trio of DMV folks: Cemmy for quoting, coordination, materials, design, and such. Javier for overall project management and engineering. Maynor handling the day-to-day work.
The tricky part of this project was routing a 3 inch drain line from the bathroom on the second floor to the basement main drain without destroying the rest of the house. Javier spent some time looking at all the various options for the route and ended up coming up with a creative solution that only required two small holes in other walls.
Cemmy did his usual great job going back and forth with me narrowing down the exact quote I was looking for as well as handling design, sourcing all materials, and scheduling.
Maynor and company did the same wonderful work that they’ve done on our other jobs working 8am – 6pm, six days a week until the work was done.
The quality of the work was great. There was only one small hick-up along the way when a city inspector didn’t like some of the work the original builder had done. Javier handled the issue and didn’t charge anything additional for having to do the extra work.
After a handful of projects with DMV I can’t recommend them enough. Great quality work at a reasonable price with fabulous customer service. It’s so nice to work with a team of people that take pride in their work and aren’t looking to nickel and dime you.”

“DMV did a great job remodeling our bathroom. Jose was the best contractor that I have ever worked with. He came to the house to see the space and provided me with an estimate. We talked about the pros and cons of different approaches to updating the bathroom. He suggested a website which carried most of the items we needed (e.g., overhead lights, medicine cabinet, plumbing fixtures), so that I could select the vendors and styles I wanted. In the shop, he helped me make decisions about tile and cabinet colors and patterns. He was readily available by email so my questions were answered usually the same day. He coordinated with the workers and the vendors to make sure everything went smoothly. When I had a major concern about the tile I had initially chosen, he encouraged me to select another tile. Minor and Alejandro carried out the remodeling and it looks very professionally done. They worked hard and accomplished a lot every day. Their work created a lot of dust but they were careful to cover up the furniture and floors and they cleaned up every evening. Minor was responsible for the on-site work and he maintained good communications with me to check on specific details and to update me on the progress. Overall we had a very positive experience working with DMV Kitchen and Bath. A few hints: Make sure you look at how the pattern of multiple tiles will look on the wall or floor. The first tile I selected was rectangular and had the grain of the pattern on each tile running in different directions. Not really the look I wanted but I didn’t find that out until the tile had been purchased and was about to be installed. Secondly, if you are remodeling a very small bathroom, be sure to double check the sizes of the cabinet/counter top/toilet/shower to be sure that you understand whether the room will be more or less crowded than when you started. My new cabinet was the same width as the old but the counter top was an inch wider so things got a little more crowded.”

“The room painting project today went quickly. The workers also did our final punch list as we had a one year warranty on our previous kitchen and multiple bathroom project. I really liked their attentiveness to detail and they caulked, grouted, painted and sealed a number of dings we had and also they touched up some previous work. Most contractors will verbally give a one year warranty but then try to weasel out of an follow up work. In contrast DMV has been exceptional in that they have readily and willingly returned to our house for any follow up work after completion of our previous project. So today is roughly our one year anniversary and everything which DMV did looks just like it is brand new. We hope to use DMV and Javier Nogales again in the future for additional home improvement projects.”
Description of work: DMV came to our house today to paint a room and also to complete their one year final punch list from a large kitchen and bathroom project which they did one year ago. I was impressed all over again with the quality of their work. We continue to work with Javier Nogales for any and all of our estimates. The painters were extremely efficient today and they painted the room as well as repaired some sheet rock damage.
Diane Geraghty Centreville, VA 20120
“The only problem I encountered was that the original mosaic tile that I selected for my powder room was on back order and that was not through any fault of DMV since they ordered it within a week of signing the contract. Rather than delaying the project, I just selected a different mosaic tile instead so the project proceeded on schedule. During the project, I was unhappy with the finish on one of the cabinet pieces and DMV had it replaced immediately. At the end of the project, DMV reviewed my remaining punch list of minor issues and quickly corrected all items on the list without complaint. Working with all of them was a pleasure!”
Description of work: “After researching 6 different companies, I chose DMV Kitchen and Bath (Chantilly) for the renovation of my kitchen and powder room. They just completed the project today and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The Medallion cabinets are beautiful and the combination of colors in the Corian countertops, floor tiles and backsplashes are perfect. Working with Cemmy, my designer and project manager, was a total pleasure. He, my daughter and I worked together on the designs and he never pressured us into making any decisions even though at times I felt a bit overwhelmed by the whole process. He made recommendations and provided the guidance throughout the project as to what would occur each step of the way. Cemmy was extremely responsive and responded to any questions or concerns I had by either returning my calls within an hour or showing up at my house as needed. He gave me his cell phone number so I could reach him anytime. The two teams led by Mayner and Orlando were also very professional and polite and they did a fabulous job demolishing the old rooms, rerouting pipes, laying the tiles, installing cabinets and appliances, painting, etc. They also cleaned up after themselves every night before leaving my house. I was impressed by how hard they worked from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm every day. I will definitely hire them back again to update my two remaining bathrooms and highly recommend DMV Kitchen and Bath to anyone looking for a great contracting company. Thank you for a job well done!”
Megan Edwards Germantown, MD 20874
“DMV Kitchen and Bath did an incredible job with our bathroom! Jose was our designer and he did an excellent job of taking us through the design process as this was our first renovation. He went over all design options at his design center in Gaithersburg and showed up during the construction process to make sure everything was running smoothly. Jacinto and his crew showed up on time every day throughout the project and were more than happy to answer questions. They were extremely professional and their craftsmanship was impeccable. Our bathroom turned out beautiful and I would highly recommend them!”

“Oscar Perdomo provided professional guidance through the entire project including coming to our home to estimate work to be done and cost as well as to create a new layout. He met with us to choose our choices of options and provided his recommendations. During the entire project he checked in everyday to make certain there were not problems. The work crews were top notch craftsman. The provided protection so dirt and dust would not affect other living areas. Our kitchen has received tons of compliments and we could not be happier!”
Description of work: We had an entire kitchen remodel including removing old cabinets, taking down wallpaper, removing a portion of the countertop, installing new cabinets, granite, an island, hardwood flooring and a pantry. They also installed new appliances and lighting.

“DMV was awesome! We waited for six months after work was completed before writing our comments. So this is no ill-considered, quick response. We are still as delighted with the outcome as we were on Day One. We could not be happier with the standard of professionalism and high quality of work we experienced in a total remake of our kitchen, the entire main floor, sunroom, stairs, and deck. We found DMV Kitchen thoughtful, responsive and resourceful with respect our every request. They were helpful in showing us a wide range of options, patient in allowing us time to decide, supportive in advising us of about materials, and responsive to our requests for modifications in design and schedule. There were considerate of our needs since we lived in the home throughout this major overhaul. There crews were respectful and pleasant. Several workers told us that they wanted to make us happy and they were true to their word. They left us in command throughout and could not have been more attentive to detail. Some of the outstanding aspects of DMV that we would like to highlight are: 1. Wonderful office staff and crews. All were exceedingly competent, paid great attention to every detail, very respectful that they were in our home, very happy and extremely pleasant to be around, completely responsive to requests, flexible, curtained off work areas well so effect on rest of home was minimal, and cleaned up thoroughly every day. 2. Kept to schedule. DMV started when they said they would and finished when planned. 3. Showroom where we could see options. Great range of options for materials, countertops, cabinets, etc. Could customize to exactly what we wanted. 4. Great drawings, color 3D diagrams, and detailed catalogs that provided accurate details and representative views of the finished product. Allowed us to visualize options, make decisions in planning, see the progress to the final product, and ensured we didn’t get unpleasant surprises. The finished product was completely consistent with the drawings. Bottom line: six months out, we remain as happy with the renovations as we were at the beginning and we cannot find a single thing we would do differently. We procrastinated doing these renovations for at least 5 years, dreading the disruption and proverbial contractor nightmares. We were amazed at how smoothly everything went and how easy it was. We would recommend DMV to anyone with pleasure and without hesitation. We plan to use DMV when we redo our bathrooms in the near future.”

“DMV Kitchen and Bath was excellent to work with throughout the whole process. Oscar was our project manager and was wonderful to work with. He was honest and easy to talk to about throughout both the planning and remodeling processes. We were very happy with all of the work that was completed. On the very very few things that we had concerns about, Oscar worked with us to make sure that the work was redone or fixed in the way that we were happy with. These guys do quality work at a reasonable price and we would highly recommend using their services.”
